Modifying refers to the process of “body hacking”, during which communities known as “grinders” hack their own bodies in order to improve human skills. Promoting the ideas of open source posthumanism and techno-progressivism, the separation between man and machine seems to be limited by a dubious experimental process.
ABOUT
Vangelis Deligiorgis (Chalkida, 1983) is an artist, a graduate of ASFA in 2009, based in Athens. His practice combines painting, digital imaging and mixed materials such as oil, spray and inks. The themes he presents in his work focus on the connection of man with nature and the environment, the urban landscape, digital technology and the interaction that these relationships trigger towards a deciphering of the senses.
