Exonemo (JP)
Kiss or Dual Monitors (2018)
Mixed media installation, Monitors, Media players, Wires
Two LCD monitors are hanged from a ceiling, displaying faces of various people on the screen, and placed as people on the screen do kissing. The work questions the relationship between emotional feeling and information devices. The sterile connection of two objects and the swap of physical connection for a digital connection. The installation questions the human presence in the digital communication realm and challenges the notions of reality, physicality and digitalisation.
